Web platform reinvention delivering real customer benefits

Facilitating brand engagement through improved enterprise content management.

About the Client

Our client is one of Western Australia’s largest and most trusted member organisations, with in excess of 600,000 members and numerous operating divisions including Financial Services, Membership, Travel and Roadside Assistance.

Project Overview

Our client had previously operated on an ageing content management system (FarCry / ColdFusion) which did not provide the level of functionality required for their future member communications, marketing, campaign management and internal systems integration requirements.

CSG was engaged to provide consulting, development and training services for the implementation of a website content management system (CMS) based on the .NET framework, which would align with their strategic direction to move to a .NET based development platform for the whole organisation. The solution was also required to have the opportunity for extensive integration with the to-be implemented Membership Relationship Management System (MRMS).

CSG proposed the Sitecore Content Management System and was selected based on extensive experience with similar Sitecore and Enterprise Content Management Systems, specific expertise with membership based organisations and deep
technical expertise with both the existing technology platform and the proposed .NET platform.

Client Requirements

The project was to be delivered to a tight deadline to meet with internal project requirements and parallel initiatives supported by the new CMS. Our client required us to:

  • Streamline the existing web site’s content;
  • Select the new content management system;
  • Implement the new content management system, inclusive
    of relevant hardware/infrastructure;
  • Replace the current content management system with a new enterprise-class system;
  • Migrate the existing web site to the new content management system; and
  • Undertake business continuity and disaster recovery planning for the new system.
  • Our Solution

  • Set up of the new CMS;
  • Development of the templates on the new CMS;
