Leading education technology developed by Australian company, CSG was launched today at the Shanghai World Expo with 20 students and seven teachers from Victoria travelling to a purpose built virtual classroom, Connections 2010.
The new on-line portal, the Ultranet developed by CSG is being showcased at Connections 2010. It will revolutionise the way students, teachers and parents engage with education and is currently being rolled out across all Victorian schools.
Attending the launch, CSG, CEO Denis Mackenzie said that the Ultranet was a world first for innovative educational software and is built on a start-of-the-art Web 2.0 system that reflects a modern classroom.
“There is no product like this in the world, that brings together teachers, students and parents to actively participate in an education learning environment of the future,” Mr Mackenzie said.
“It has been exciting to be the company building a statewide, secure site that students, parents and teachers can access via the internet that provides a new learning space and more opportunities for information sharing across the Victorian government school system.”
The Connections 2010 classroom was transported to Shanghai from Victoria and 20 students and seven teachers have travelled to the Expo to participate in classes.
The classroom features a range of new teaching technologies underpinned by the Ultranet.
