CSG to deliver Oracle based Identity and Access Management Solution for Edith Cowan University
CSG has signed with Edith Cowan University to deliver an Oracle based Identity & Access Management solution.
The new solution is set to replace three existing systems currently being used for creating identities and will allow access to University IT resources, data and physical security systems through one centralised login identity.
ECU Project Executive Mr Phillip Draber believes the new system will be beneficial to staff, students and alumni.
“We are excited to implement the new program, which will enable a single lifelong identity to be maintained from an individual’s initial contact with the University right throughout their lifecycle as a student or staff member through to alumni member” he says.
Oracle platinum partner CSG, recently named both the 2010 Asia Pacific Applications and Identity Management Partner of the Year by Oracle, will deliver the solution over the next six months.
“CSG looks forward to implementing the solution for ECU, which will alleviate instances of users having multiple logins and ultimately improve the university’s identity management processes”, says Julie-Ann Kerin Group General Manager CSG Technology Solutions.
The new system will also provide links between key systems such as staff records, student records and IT user account systems. It will also enable the university to federate identity information and make better use of the Australian Access Federation offerings for collaboration in learning, teaching and research.
The base system is scheduled to be in operation by June 2011.
